Dr. Jennifer Tran has devoted her career to enhancing her patients’ vision and eye health. Her passion for eye care began early in life. She studied Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Washington, then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University. Dr. Tran advanced her expertise by completing a residency in primary care at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Reno, NV. Committed to providing top-notch eye care, she earned her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in 2010. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Tran is highly regarded for her precise attention to detail and compassionate care.

Beyond her practice, she is an active member of the American Optometric Association and volunteers her skills for vision screenings in underserved communities. Her dedication to optometric care, combined with her friendly demeanor, has made her a cherished figure among both patients and colleagues.

Dr. Tam Nguyen, originally from Vietnam and raised in Portland, completed her bachelor’s in biology at Portland State University in 2014 and graduated from the Pacific University College of Optometry in 2018. Fluent in both English and Vietnamese, she is particularly dedicated to assisting the elderly Vietnamese community, appreciating the ability to communicate directly and address their specific visual needs. Dr. Tam Nguyen specializes in primary eye care, dry eye management, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease management, providing patients with education and personalized treatment plans. Her commitment is to deliver excellent eye care tailored to individual lifestyles and to encourage long-term eye health.

In her leisure time, she loves spending time with her family, expressing her creativity through nail art, discovering new dining spots in Portland, listening to music, and traveling to new places.

Tuyet, our office manager, is an invaluable part of our team, recognized for her integrity, dedication, and vast expertise. She is vital in nearly all aspects of our operations, collaborating closely with the doctors before, during, and after eye exams. Tuyet also assists patients with contact lenses, ordering glasses, and handling insurance billing.

As a versatile team member, she’s the go-to person for almost anything. Tuyet enjoys building relationships and is devoted to providing a positive and memorable experience for patients. Fluent in Vietnamese, she also offers translation support for those who speak English as a second language. In her free time, she loves traveling with her family, watching movies, and reading.

MyTrang is passionate about helping patients select frames that not only enhance their appearance but also boost their confidence. She devotes time to ensuring each patient receives the perfect lens for optimal vision and frames that reflect their unique personality and style. Her cross-training allows her to assist with insurance verification and ordering glasses. As a bilingual team member, she is eager to support patients in various ways. In her downtime, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Michael, celebrated for his outstanding organizational abilities and keen eye for detail, ensures the office runs smoothly, always adding a touch of patience, positivity, and laughter. His ambition is to join an optometry program to advance his education and become an optometrist. He is passionate about patient care and enjoys spending time with his friends and family, reading, sampling new foods, and watching movies over the weekend.

Kevin is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Oregon State University. He enjoys caring for patients and works on weekends when school permits to serve the community. Kevin utilizes his organizational skills in managing various projects within both the optical and clinical departments and takes pride in his hardworking and persistent nature. Outside of school and work, he enjoys playing video games and serves as a youth leader at the Vietnamese Hope Baptist Church.

Trang is naturally talented and highly creative, with a passion for photography. She’s particularly interested in helping patients appreciate the beauty of the world. Trang plays an active role in patient care and at the front desk, always working with a can-do attitude. She is eager to learn from her colleagues and patients. In her free time, Trang enjoys traveling and photography.

Lam steps in to assist our office when we need extra help. His passion for eye care is evident in his dedication to enhancing patients’ vision and boosting their confidence. He finds joy in helping patients select stylish frames and addressing diverse eye care needs. Lam appreciates the dynamic nature of eye care, which makes his work both challenging and rewarding. In his free time, he loves traveling and watching movies with his family.
